Description

Our reusable and washable sponge is an ecological and sustainable alternative to the classic sponge.

3 things to know about synthetic sponges:

They are full of bacteria (millions of them, no joke).
Normally, they should be changed every week to limit bacteria. That’s a big problem for your budget and the amount of waste you produce every year!
They use a lot of energy during the manufacturing process (among other things, a lot of water and chemical glue).

So STOP. We stop everything.
Discover an ecological, sustainable, simple and very effective alternative: the reusable and washable sponge.
With its scratchy side (made of honeycomb) for scrubbing and its soft side (made of terry cloth) for absorbing, our washable dish sponge is very effective.
For really dirty dishes, we recommend using one of our wooden dish brushes.

The little extra of our sponge? Its practical tab to hang it up (on the tap for example) and make it easier to dry. This way, bacteria don’t have time to develop. Clever, isn’t it? 😉

When it’s dirty, or once a week, you can put it in the dishwasher or washing machine up to 60°C, and hey presto! Bye bye bacteria.

It is reusable for about 1 year (52 machine washes).

In short, it is much more hygienic than a classic sponge, which accumulates millions of bacteria per square centimetre and which we too often forget to change 😉 And it is of course more ecological because no dangerous particles are released when the water is evacuated and its manufacture is much cleaner.

PRODUCTION

Our sponge was designed and conceived in Marseille and is made in Portugal (the kings of terry cloth).

We have chosen our partner and our raw materials with great care:

Soft terry cotton certified GOTS and Oeko-Tex 100
GOTS honeycomb for the scratchy side
Recycled polyester wadding (from plastic bottles) certified GRS – Global Recycle Standard, inside to foam and to allow an optimal drying and thus limit the development of bacteria

USE

Moisten your washable sponge and solid dish soap with water.
Rub your sponge against your eco-friendly dish soap (or vice versa, that works too :)), or put your dishwashing liquid on top.
And off you go! Do your dishes as usual.
Are you done? Well done 😉 Hang your sponge by its tab, for a quick and efficient drying. Bacteria won’t have time to develop 😉

For an even greener wash, prefer washing baths rather than letting the water run 😉

Good news. Our washable sponge is compatible with all types of washing-up liquid and soap. You can even use it for cleaning, for example. We recommend using it with natural products (Marseille soap, white vinegar,…). All our tests have been carried out with this type of product.
Remember to dedicate a sponge to a specific use (one sponge for the dishes, one for the bathroom, etc.).

You can reuse our washable sponge for about 1 year without worrying about bacteria.
To wash it? Put it in the dishwasher or washing machine, at 60°C, wring it out well and then let it dry. That’s it 😉
